The Trilead team is pleased to announce the release of VM Explorer 6.0 which introduces the option to archive your backups to tape media and to create storage snapshots on EMC ScaleIO.
VM Explorer 6.0 has the following new main features:
- Tape Backups: Tape backup continues to be key technology for providing cost effective and long-term storage. VM Explorer now supports autoloaders and tape libraries to archive your backups to tape media.
- Storage Snapshot with EMC ScaleIO (Enterprise): Taking snapshots on the Hypervisor can produce an important impact on virtual machine performance. With the built-in ScaleIO support, VM Explorer leverages storage snapshot to reduce impact on your production environment.
- Localized web interface: VM Explorer is now available in English, German and Italian.
How to install VM Explorer 6.0:
Download the latest version of VM Explorer here: www.trilead.com/Download/ and install VM Explorer as usual.
