Sygma was born from the experience on the field and, before meeting the needs of the channel, used to meet our IT administrators' needs. Our history in IT led us to develop over time solutions that allowed us to better our work, both inside, and our customers'. The first developments - date back to 10 years ago!- were addressed to the web tracking of support activities. Today, this system is commonly called Ticket System. It was fundamental for us having a storage of operations carried out, available via the Web, for both technicians and sales of the company. Also, we felt like giving customers the ability to view how much and how was spent our time was fundamental too because the more you offer transparency, the more you get your customers' trust. These were the first years of the 2000s and, still used to the traditional paper report, very few companies used a similar system. Knowing how many and which activities have been carried out by a specific technician or for a specific customer allowed us to better manage workloads and, at the same time, allowed us to early predict how our effort would evolve, and therefore our revenues.
Over the years, we have continued with the development of web-based applications, also useful for the cataloging of information related to infrastructures managed by clients. Sharing Excel sheets to search for IP addresses and passwords was an incredible waste of time... It often happened that everyone had a different version of the same file with not anymore updated information. And that's how Sygma was born...
