PERFORMANCE

CPU (2GHz Core)
Max 16 Core
2GHz Totals
It is possible to increase the number of Cores assigned to the Cloud Server. Each Cloud Server uses high-frequency processors from the Intel Xeon E5 v3 family. The Cores allocated to the Class S and X Stellar Cloud Servers are dedicated and assigned with a 1: 1 ratio (100% dedicated single core frequency). The cores allocated to the Stellar Class C Cloud Servers are dedicated and assigned with a ratio of 1: 1.25 (single core dedicated frequency 80%). The resources are not shared therefore the power of the Cores is guaranteed; for this reason the number of cores that can be assigned to a single Cloud Server has been limited.
RAM (GB)
Max 48GB
You can increase the amount of RAM dedicated to the server. The RAM is allocated in a dedicated way with no restrictions of any kind.
SSD Storage (GB)
Max 500GB
It is possible to increase the Storage space of the Stellar Cloud Server. By default each server is created with 40GB of storage (except for the Stellar Class C Linux Cloud Server which comes with 20GB). It is possible to choose to increase the size of the disk on which the operating system resides and / or to add a secondary data disk.
IMPORTANT: The creation of a secondary data disk automatically activates an equal space assigned to the 1Backup agent. This allows an advanced backup service to be included in the price.
Minimum guaranteed disk I/O: 100 MB/s
For larger storage areas please contact CoreTech sales department.

COMPARE WITH MICROSOFT AZURE

*updated March 2021 CPU RAM   Temporary Storage Monthly payment Anticipated 1 year
Azure(Dd v4) 2 8 GB 75 GB ~€140.35/month ~€106.88/month
The comparison does not take into account additional costs that apply to each VM such as:
  • -Permanent Disk- Managed Disk (Standard HDD, Standard SSD or Premium SSD)
  • -(I/O) Operations Disk Reading/Writing (In addition to those included)
  • -Outgoing network traffic
  • -Backup of VMs
Information on Temporary Disks (from Microsoft Azure documentation)

Can the temporary disk (unit D: by default) be used to store data?
Do not use the temporary disk to store data. It is only a temporary storage resource, you would risk losing data that cannot be recovered. Data loss may occur when one moves the virtual machine to a different host. The resizing of a virtual machine, a host upgrade, or a hardware failure are some of the reasons that may cause you to move a virtual machine.

Are local SSD units for Managed Disks' virtual machines supported?
The SSD local unit is a temporary archive included in a Managed Disks' virtual machine. This temporary storage does not entail additional costs. We do not recommend using this local SSD unit to store application data, because they are not saved permanently in Azure's BLOB storage.

The temporary operating system's disks are created in the local virtual machine's (VM) archive and are not saved in Azure remote storage. The temporary operating system's disks work well for workloads without status, where applications are tolerant of single virtual machines' errors but are more interested in the VM's distribution time or recreation of the image of individual instances. With the temporary operating system's disk, you get a lower reading/writing latency for the operating system's disk and a faster recreation of the virtual machine
