What is Stellar Cloud Server

Stellar Server was created to meet the needs of customers who require safe Cloud Servers that give Certainty. The market is saturated with cheap cloud servers' offers with uncertain performances, rarely steady and only leading to problems, those who come to Stellar want to feel secure about making the right investment.
With a Stellar server, you will have machines with Guaranteed Performances constant through time, Serenity and Security always, at a reasonable and honest cost. A virtual Enterprise Cloud Server with concrete and clear values is finally available.
Stellar servers are a certainty today as well as tomorrow. At first sight, it may seem that it comes at a higher cost than other cloud providers, but actually, we are more affordable and we invite you to carefully evaluate the servers' features and the completeness of the offer! With Stellar cloud server, Developers and System Engineers can manage their projects safely .
The initial server setup is completely free and the systemic medium pre and post-sales are included under the rules of the contract. Servers can be tried before completing the sale. There are no availability limitations on servers operating systems and in the case, therefore it is possible to make ad hoc requests even for less common operating systems.
A management console of Stellar server is available, from which it is possible to perform Start, Shut Down, Reboot, Reset, verify CPU, Ram and Disk resources used by the server, see the virtual servers console output, make Snapshots and carry out the existing snapshot recovery.

Stellar C Class

Stellar ZEN

Stellar ZEN is a cloud server that maintains the security and performance prerogatives of Stellar servers, but at a lower price!
Why was the ZEN offer born?
Cloud infrastructure, to be clear IaaS, is increasingly becoming a commodity, a bit like internet connectivity or electricity.
The quality, the service are fundamental, but the price counts… and often counts a lot.

With ZEN we have done a very important job starting from the opensource world, like what Amazon AWS and Google Cloud do.
ZEN we do not pay licenses for each GB of Ram of a cloud server and this is reflected in the cost of the entire VM.
In addition to the most advantageous costs Stellar ZEN servers enjoy a cluster infrastructure with SSD disks on distributed storage.
Furthermore, the KVM (open source hypervisor) features will allow you to have replicated VMs in a simple and inexpensive way.

Stellar ZEN

Technologically speaking

  • Stellar ZEN clusters consist of 6 hypervisors instead of 3.
  • The storage is not connected to the hypervisors via cable sas.
  • The enterprise-grade ssd disks are local to each hypervisor but they all together constitute a single distributed Ceph storage usable via a 10Gb network.

The use of 6 hypervisors per cluster instead of 3 brought the computational power left free to manage the HA from 1/3 to 1/6 and this turns into savings.

Small Cloud Cluster Architecture

In contrast with other infrastructures, Stellar servers are designed in a Small Cloud Cluster architecture.

We created a "finite capacity cloud"!

To guarantee performances, one must know the maximum number of Cloud Servers that will have to be hosted on the infrastructure. Therefore we set a maximum number of cloud servers for each "Small Cloud Cluster". When a cluster reaches its maximum number of Cloud Servers, new servers are created in a new Small Cloud Cluster.

VMWare

Infrastructure

The Cloud Server Stellar infrastructure was designed starting from the prerogative of offering Servers capable of giving maximum performances. To fulfill this objective, we overturned the principle with which all other providers work. We started from the performances we wanted to offer and then we designed the architecture that could meet that need.

infrastructure

VMware + HP

We chose VMware technology, which is the top solution in Virtualization and Cloud systems, while for hardware we chose another world leader, HP for server and storage

Small Cloud Cluster

In contrast with our competitors we opted for a Small Cloud Cluster architecture. We created a "finite capacity cloud".

3 Host VMware Cluster

Each Small Cloud Cluster consists of 3 VMware Hosts hosted by an HP DL360 next-gen Server, with dual-processor Intel Xeon E5 v3, 192GB of RAM, double physical network card for a total of 8 1GB channels, and double power supply

Storage: Direct Attached Storage with double 12Gb connection

The storage is connected to each VMware Host via double 12 Gb SAS connection to the 2 different storage controllers, to guarantee also fault tolerance. Disks are set up in more RAID6 volumes to guarantee greater reliability.

Safety: Firewall, VLAN, Backup

Each Stellar Cloud Server is protected by a Front End Firewall and a Back End Firewall, eventually excludable associating public IP directly to the server or an owned firewall. Moreover, a dedicated and isolated VLAN is created for each client. You will find a Backup system of Server Cloud on separated storage connected in iSCSI to each Hypervisor.

Support

Through a dedicated panel, it is possible to manage autonomously your Cloud Servers. For every systemic support need, it is possible to request dedicated support

Best in Class Technical Support included

Talk with experienced Technicians from Senior System Administrator.
Stellar support can provide you assistance in all stages of the service: server Analysis and Cloud Migration, Management, and Troubleshooting.
Most cloud providers believe that technical support is optional and they offer self-service systems or limited telephone access, while we believe that this is wrong.
When a customer has an issue and needs support, he needs to find a solution fast, and to do so is fundamental to talk to an experienced technician who can understand the issue and propose a solution without delays.

Comparison chart

This table aims to serve as a comparison between the Iaas Stellar Cloud Server solution and two main big parts The first one consists of a single player, which is Microsoft Azure* The second big part consists of the average offer offered by "smaller" cloud providers compared to Microsoft Azure. We are talking about cloud providers like Aruba, OVH, and others.

*For comparison we chose Microsoft Azure instead of Amazon AWS or Google Cloud since System Integrator and MSP have historically more confidence, they had more relations and developed greater know-how with Microsoft solutions compared to AWS' and Google's. Also, let's not forget that Microsoft, compared to AWS and Google, has previously developed a business focused on Partners, while the other players like AWS and Google always turned to clients directly. Today, Microsoft Azure addresses both end customers and partners, which leaves low profitability.

CSP enabling platform

CSP enabling platform (Cloud Solution Provider) is defined as a web platform that partners can use to provide Cloud services to their clients, keeping their identity thanks to the White Label feature that allows one to customize the domain, logo, and colors of the portal.

Thanks to this platform a System Integrator, a software house, or a Managed Service Provider can transform the business into a Cloud Solution Provider and compete on equal terms with the greatest Cloud solutions player without losing the identity, profit, and ensuring customers safety of data and underlying infrastructures.
