Agents: An “Agents” is a software package that must be physically installed on the machine you wish to protect. It is necessary to purchase a Server type agent for each PC / Server station to be backed up. To back up a NAS, you can purchase a native agent that is compatible with different models of Synology and QNAP. You need to purchase a NAS agent for each network device you want to protect.
Both Server-type and NAS-type agents allow granular recovery. To save and copy entire virtual machines it is necessary to purchase 1 Server Agent that acts as a link between the Cloud console and the VMware or Hyper-V host and as many VMware or Hyper-V modules as there are VMs residing on the hypervisor . The virtual machine module does not allow granular data recovery but restores the entire VM. To back up Office365 mailboxes, you need to purchase 1 Server Agent that acts as a link between the Cloud console and the e-mail account and as many Office 365 Mailbox add-ons as there are mailboxes to protect.
Storage: Storage is the disk space that is allocated to agents. At any time, the customer can change the quotas assigned to the various agents and redistribute them at will.
